It has recently opened in the Danish city of Copenhagen, more precisely at the Arken Museum of Modern Art, a magnificent exhibition of paintings by Pablo Picasso Malaga which is entitled “Picasso and women.”
Those closer to the museum facilities will have the opportunity to see 81 etchings and other graphic works which reflect the artist’s relationship with women, including work performed between 1905 and 1970, all donated by the Museum Israel Jerusalem and rarely exhibited to the public for their extreme sensitivity to light.
Among the works shown we can mention a selection of “The Tumblers,” “Big Head”, the series “Suite Vollard”, “Suite 347″, “September 8, 1968 II and a large number of group portraits.
“Picasso and women” exhibit etchings, aquatints, lithographs, linocuts and etchings showing productivity in the field and his love of continual experimentation.
It is not the first time the Arken Museum of Copenhagen made a presentation of the famous artist from Malaga, and in 2004 presented “Picasso for all times” which was visited by 184,000 people by establishing a true public record.
