the island of funen

Fyn is the smallest of the three main islands of Denmark. However, it is the prettiest, especially in the south, where it presents an attractive rolling hills and islands. Outside the industrial area north of Odense, the main town in the area and third largest city in Denmark, Fiona is a predominantly agricultural region where most grown fruit and vegetables consumed in Denmark. As such, the island is famous for its gastronomy as well as for its scenery. You can even combine the two with ever-increasingly popular biking tours which stop at restaurants along the way. There you can indulge in a sip of rose wine and a fresh and delicious three course meal before setting off again on two wheels. Perfect for those who are travel explorers both in taste and in countryside.

Fyn field is formed by large stately homes and rustic cottages with thatched roofs. The sea is shallow, which offers a follow for children. Most wear the blue flag beaches of the EU. The other major cities of Fyn, Odense besides, are Middelfart, Faborg, Assens, Munkebo, Nyborg and Sonderborg.

The best way to reach this island is by road over the bridge of Jutland, west of the country, reaching Midelfart in Funen. There are also ferries from Sealand, to nearby islands and Germany. The Great Belt is a bridge, like the Oresund, Denmark and Sweden announced. In this case, the bridge connects with Fiona Knudshoved in Halsskov in Zealand. It is the largest suspension bridge in the world.
