
Aarhus, Denmark’s second largest city, meets this year the centenary of the national exhibition of 1909 and held throughout the year with musical events, exhibitions and special projects of all kinds.
However, the visit for every traveler who comes close to this beautiful city on the east coast of the Jutland peninsula is the museum of Den Gamle Dy, which also celebrates the centenary year of its construction.
In this “city time” comprised of about 80 old houses brought from all over Denmark, recreates life in the days of Hans Christian Andersen (nineteenth century) with flesh and blood characters dressed as it should for the time.

We enter their homes, in shops and stores to share with their children traditional games … in short, a real learning experience for young and old enjoyed.
This year the park will host several events, like the opening of the mansion Mintmaster’s. Park entry costs $ 9, children under 17 are free. The living museum of Den Gamle Dy is in Viborgvej.
