Restaurant Noma

Returning to El Bulli, nominated as the best restaurant in the world five years, where Ferran Adrià decided that he would close his restaurant to convert it into a Foundation, the Association that designs the rankings of the best restaurants, decided to get the title of best restaurant in the world at El Bulli, and appointing as successor to the restaurant Noma in Copenhagen.

The restaurant chef René Redzepi Noma, with two Michelin stars, is located in an old building in the District of Christianshavn which served as a warehouse for vessels that went to the Danish Islands. Its name comes from the Association of the concepts (Norse) Nordisk and Mad (food) and intends to present a reinterpretation of the Nordic cuisine. Read the rest of this entry »

Restaurant Geist

This new restaurant is chef Bo Bech. Bo Bech is a famous Danish chef has cooked some of the best restaurants in Europe and rose to fame in his country through a reality television show kitchen in Danish television. Bo Bech was previously in charge of the Paustian restaurant with one Michelin star in 2008. From that moment he preferred closer to the public and set up a bakery in Copenhagen where it only sold a single type of bread and eventually created the restaurant Geist. The restaurant Geist is an antithesis of his former restaurant, very informal, with walls dark and quite noisy offers simplified versions of their creations to make them accessible to all audiences. The objective of the Geist is not having a Michelin star restaurant but offer high-quality food to their guests at a reasonable price. Read the rest of this entry »
