Rosenborg Castle was built in 1606, within the King’s Park in Copenhagen, under the specific request of Christian IV. This building, crowned by towers and needles, surrounded by a moat and a large park, was the residence of the royal family during the seventeenth century.
The brick building, typical of the Renaissance style Dutchman, has survived the bombing and fires that have occurred since then.
The building is well furnished but casual. The rooms are arranged chronologically. Those belonging to the period running from Christian IV to Frederik IV have been carefully preserved.

One of the most interesting aspects that make Copenhagen a perfect city to learn in a few days is its size. While it is a metropolis, the Danish capital has not lost his style, and its area can be walked easily, although this does not guarantee that we will know fully, as consisting of countless riches.
While there is an efficient supply of buses and trains moving along the city with impeccable service and network of routes, the preferred mode of transportation for citizens is the bicycle. This is nothing strange in European cities, and frequently occurs in many capitals and cities of the continent.

If you like rock concerts, you might want to attend the Skanderborg Music Festival, or Smukfest, as it is known. It is held every summer outdoors in the outskirts of the town of Denmark, and the likes of Eric Clapton, Lenny Kravitz, Beck, Bjork, and Green Day were among those who participated in previous years.
But the truly curious about this festival is one of the housing options offered to participants. This giant beer cans, the signature Royal Unibrev – of course it is a Danish firm -.
So, after a long day of concerts, reviews of some of these 114 cans are directed to rest on them. They have two floors in its 3.6 meters high and its walls are covered in gold wallpaper.

Each can is fully furnished by Ikea, and the second floor have a double round bed. The cans are rented in communities in six-packs, and cost about 120 euros a night each.

The truth is that Danish food is not very wide, in fact, pork is the staple of your kitchen. It is therefore not surprising that the menus always include as a main dish casseroles, sausages and steaks, often accompanied by beets, potatoes and pickles. The region is central Jutland in Denmark. To the north, you will find landscapes with windmills and boardwalk: beach 16 km Blokhus together with Lokken, two famous resorts. Skagen, the northernmost town of the peninsula, offers a spectacle of mobile dune shifts between 8 and 10 m to the east each year.
The sea remains restless and numerous lights illuminate. A 5 km away, a sandbank face changes and mixes with air currents and tides whispering end of the world.The poetry of these landscapes, each more surprising, inspired the Danish painters, who eventually established a school of painting.
Short stop at the fishing port of Sæby where you discover the village church of this traditional, baroque manor house and its domains.

Skagen is the northernmost town of Denmark, a goal not to lose, where if you climb higher and higher towards Green, 3 miles from the center, you can witness the magical meeting of two seas that are facing a wave perpendicular to the ground a wonderful and unforgettable spectacle.
The advice is to walk early morning or evening in summer, thus avoiding the hordes of tourists that ruin a bit wild ‘the magic of the landscape.

Storebaelt Bridge to cross the more than 13 miles from the Great Belt strait (Storebaelt in Danish) that separates the islands of Zealand and Funen. The section is actually formed by two bridges, the Bridge East and West, using the island as an intermediate point Sprogo.
The bridge was opened in the summer of 1998, and eventually establishing the largest engineering project in the history of Denmark.

It gives you and your family the opportunity at Roskilde last year. Several times each day during the summer rallies both directly descended from Viking ships from Port Museum in Roskilde’s famous Viking Ship Museum. 12-18 man in each boat has a sail knowledgeable skipper in the stern to guide the participants safely through the 50 minute long trip.
