Skagen is the northernmost town of Denmark, a goal not to lose, where if you climb higher and higher towards Green, 3 miles from the center, you can witness the magical meeting of two seas that are facing a wave perpendicular to the ground a wonderful and unforgettable spectacle.
The advice is to walk early morning or evening in summer, thus avoiding the hordes of tourists that ruin a bit wild ‘the magic of the landscape.
The town of Skagen is characterized by the old fisherman’s cottages by the yellow walls and colorful red and white stores that are reflected in the water.
Nice to visit the Open Air Museum, a group of old fisherman’s houses that covers the three main periods of the city: the “black” than “yellow” and “red”, colors which were painted houses.
In the Municipal Museum and find pictures of Michael Ancher and Kroyer who can make the special light of Skagen, where the sun, the dunes and the sea merge in a surreal mix of colors.
